When should you take kids on long haul flights
Long flights with children can be a form of living hell for you, the kids and the other passengers. Placid babies are usually OK, but young children who cannot sit in a car seat for half an hour without tears are going to be a nightmare on a long haul. Can you imagine flying from Heathrow for Holidays in Bermuda with a couple of screaming six year olds running riot for the entire flight?
Just imagine the kids play up and the entire 747 cabin is kept awake by your precious little darlings. Nobody on that flight will forgive you and if some of them are in your hotel, well… you won’t be making too many friends on that holiday.
There is no right age for taking children on long haul air travel. It is all about the temperament of the individual child. Take a good critial look at your own young uns and then decide whether to let them on a long distance flight.
